Sgt. John Lenihan, formerly of the Royal Artillery, served with No.5 Troop of No.6 Commando.
Sgt. John Lenihan was Killed In Action (KIA) on 22nd February 1943, aged 36 years, during a Recce Patrol led by Lt. Tony Lewis.
John was the son of Edward and Mary Lenihan, of Manchester; and the husband of Edith Lenihan, of Hulme, Manchester. He was laid to rest in Medez-El-BabWarCemetery. Grave 16.G.11.
